The EU Data Act (Regulation 2023/2854 on harmonised rules on fair access to and use of data) will enter into force on September 12, 2025, introducing new rules for accessing and using data generated by connected devices. This regulation ensures that users of a connected product or related service within the European Union can promptly access the data generated through the use of that product or service.

With many of our products, such as heat pumps and connected boilers, having access to and control over your data opens up important opportunities. The EU Data Act supports this by granting you clearly defined rights to access, use, and benefit from the data generated by your devices through our connected services.

Product data consists of the information generated by your devices while they are operating, such as temperature settings or energy consumption. These data are designed to be available via the Internet, remotely, or through a physical connection to the device. Connected services include all digital services, particularly apps, that are linked to your device to enable one or more functionalities that would otherwise not work. Connected service data includes all data generated by the way you use connected services.
